Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Murder on the Mississippi
It's really odd to us that this game, based on a murder mystery on the Mississippi river in the days of steamers, never came out in the US - but it didn't. It looks really good, and seems to play something like a cross between Maniac Mansion and Roger Rabbit, although we aren't exactly sure because it is *very* Japanese.
