Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Nuts & Milk
Yeah, the game is really called Nuts & Milk. It's like a cross between a simpler Donkey Kong Jr style platformer, with Kirby-looking characters. Made by Hudson, it isn't bad and it is a little surprising it didn't come out over here. Check it out if you like the days of simple arcade-like games!
